A blind popstar has set a new world record by becoming the world’s fastest unaccompanied blind driver.
Metin Senturk from Turkey reached speeds of 180mph in a Ferrari F430 as he raced along runways at Urfa airport in eastern Turkey.
Though he couldn’t see where he was going, Senturk was guided by a rally driver in a following car and had to turn, accelerate and brake as instructed.
The drive broke the previous record of 176 mph which had been held by a British bank manager.
Senturk, who has been blind since the age of three, said the record breaking drive felt like “a dance with death”… imagine if he had seen this.
