Four-year-old Indian boy sets speed push-up record

A four-year-old boy from western India has set a new record — by doing 1,500 push-ups in just 40 minutes.

His parents say Ronak Vitha started doing pushups when he was two and he enjoys doing them so much he is constantly dropping and doing the odd twenty.

As the months past he slowly started doing more and more push-ups until he was doing hundreds at a time — prompting his mother to wonder what the record was.

After some investigation she discovered he might be able to set a record for the most push-ups in a limited time and organised the bid at a local gym – where he did 1,482 in under 40 minutes.

Adjudicators from the India Book Of Records confirmed the record… which was about 1,463 more than we could have managed, though we don’t think much of his form.
